The heavy lifting, without paying for a truck you have already rented
Not every Las Vegas move calls for a full-service mover. Sometimes all the job needs is two trained, experienced movers for a couple of hours. Maybe you rented a Penske for the drive down I-15 to California and want it loaded so nothing shifts on the grade. Maybe a POD is sitting in the driveway out in Enterprise and the last thing you want is to wrestle a sleeper sofa up the ramp in the August heat. That is loading and unloading labor, and our crew does it every week.
From Summerlin to Henderson, PT Van Lines prices the whole move as one written number you can hold us to.
You bring the rig, we bring the hands and the know-how
Pull up the U-Haul, the Penske, the trailer or the POD, and the crew and the method are on us. Nothing like a one-hour minimum is sitting over the job, so two movers go on at $159 an hour and three at $219, billed only for as long as the lifting takes. A fast unload into a Paradise apartment is not charged like a full day, and in summer we put you on a dawn slot so nobody is loading in the teeth of the heat.
Packed to ride, not just stacked to fit
What you are really paying a crew for on a self-drive move is how the load travels. We pad-wrap the furniture, strap it in tiers, and keep the weight low and balanced so a rental stays planted on the I-15 grades and through the Spaghetti Bowl — the same discipline we bring to our own trucks. A sloppy load shifts the first hard brake on the interstate, and that is the moment a cheap labor day becomes a cracked dresser and a dented door. Tight on the front end means a boring drive, which is the goal.
- Loading or unloading rental trucks, PODs, shipping containers and trailers alike
- Pads, dollies, shrink wrap and load straps brought by the crew
- Taking beds and large furniture apart, or putting them back together, is part of the labor
- On a labor-only job our coverage sits on the handling we do, since the drive afterward is yours, not ours
Let us know the rig and what needs doing. Put $100 down to lock the crew and the day; it comes right off your labor total.
What’s included
- Our own PT Van Lines muscle and method loading or unloading your rental truck, POD, container or trailer — you bring the vehicle, we bring the crew
- Labor-only with no one-hour minimum hanging over it: $159 an hour fields two movers, $219 fields three, for as long as the work actually runs
- Professional load planning that sets the weight low and balanced so a rental rides safe down I-15 toward LA or out US-95 to Reno
- Dawn crew slots in summer so the loading is done before the desert heat turns a self-drive day into an ordeal
- The crew carries in the pads, dollies, shrink wrap and load straps, and breaking down and rebuilding beds and big furniture is part of the labor
- Because this is labor only, the released-value coverage rides on the loading and unloading we do, not on the miles you drive afterward — we say so plainly before you book
How we set the price
After a quick walkthrough or video estimate, we build a single flat rate off the inventory you actually own — no hourly clock anywhere in it. What that sheet reads is the full price, with nothing tacked on later.
