01 Overview

Two of the fastest-growing desert metros in the country sit a short interstate hop apart, and PT Van Lines drives the Las Vegas to Phoenix corridor as a single same-day run for most households. The route heads south on US-93 through Boulder City, crosses the Hoover Dam bypass onto I-11, and connects into the Valley of the Sun. We are a licensed Nevada van line running our own trucks with uniformed crews, so your shipment is never handed off to anyone else along the way.

Leaving Nevada? movers in the Valley keeps the whole haul on one truck with one crew, priced in writing.

Timing beats the heat, not horsepower

Phoenix and Las Vegas trade triple-digit afternoons all summer, which makes this route a scheduling problem more than a driving one. We load out of the Valley at first light, push through open desert before the heat peaks, and keep heat-sensitive pieces padded and shaded the whole trip. Loading early also keeps the crew off a 112-degree driveway at noon.

On the Phoenix run you can count on a dawn loadout to stay ahead of the Mojave and Sonoran heat, blanket-and-shrink protection on every piece, take-apart and rebuild of beds, dressers and oversized furniture, and a flat-rate price set in advance with the $100 deposit credited straight back. Each shipment carries up to $1,000,000 of cargo coverage under our federal authority. From a Henderson tract home to a Scottsdale subdivision, or a Strip high-rise condo to a Tempe apartment, you deal with one office and one crew that stays with the load from your old door to your new one.

02 Why us

Whose name is on the truck is whose name is on your contract

Book PT Van Lines and the rig in your driveway is ours, the paperwork is ours, and the movers carrying your couch down the stairs are on our payroll — your job is never handed off. Brokers run it backwards: they sell the move to whoever bids lowest that week, then vanish.

PT Van Lines
  • Our own trucks, staffed by full-time background-checked movers — we never grab day labor off a corner
  • The number we put on paper is the number you settle — signed, locked, dollar for dollar
  • One crew from the first box loaded to the last box set down
  • Nevada (NTA) household-goods authority, USDOT/MC for interstate runs, and full insurance on every job
  • One Las Vegas office, one point of contact, from your first call through the last box
What a broker does
  • Auctions your move off to whichever outfit bids cheapest that week
  • Watches the quote balloon on move day with add-ons nobody warned you about
  • Sends strangers you have never spoken to up your stairs with everything you own
  • Keeps it vague about whose policy actually covers a dropped TV
  • Puts a call-center wall between you and whoever eventually rolls up to load

“They did a great job. I had to move out and store my belongings for two weeks, then do the move in. Everyone was great from Maggie with sales to Nate and his team during my move in.”

Questions we hear about this route

Who actually drives my furniture down to Phoenix?
Our own driver and our own crew, start to finish. We run US-93 south through Boulder City, cross the Hoover Dam bypass onto I-11, then take the interstate into the Valley of the Sun. Nobody else touches the load, and the crew that packs you in Las Vegas is the crew that unloads you in Phoenix, Tempe or Scottsdale.
Two desert cities back to back in July — what about the heat?
Heat planning is basically the whole job on this one. It is a Mojave furnace handing off to a Sonoran one, so crews start at dawn on both ends, keep the truck rolling through the hottest hours, and pad anything that warps or melts. A loaded trailer never sits baking in a parking lot on our watch.
Can you move a 55-plus or active-adult household down there?
All the time. Plenty of these go from Sun City Summerlin or Sun City Anthem to the Phoenix active-adult communities. We take the extra time to label, pad and place every piece exactly where you want it, with the same crew on the Las Vegas pickup and the Arizona drop-off.
