01 Overview

Packing handled by our crew, not a midnight scramble the night before

Of every stage in a move, packing is the one people most reliably misjudge. A three-bedroom in Henderson or a four-bedroom out in Enterprise holds far more than it looks like it should, and the night-before rush with grocery-store boxes is precisely how the good plates end up in pieces. PT Van Lines packs homes the way we move them — our own trained, uniformed crew, the right materials, and a method that survives a tile staircase, a long desert haul, and the heat in the trailer between here and the new place.

From Summerlin to Henderson, Las Vegas, NV movers prices the whole move as one written number you can hold us to.

The full house, or only the rooms that scare you

Some clients want every room boxed and labeled so they do not lift a thing. Others hand us the kitchen, the china hutch and the artwork — the breakables that eat the most time and cause the most worry — and pack their own closets. Either way the crew and the clock are the same, $159/hr or $219/hr, so you only pay for the work you actually want done.

Labeled so the unload knows where it is going

In a two-story stucco home, a box marked for the wrong room is a wasted trip up the tile stairs — and on a summer move day when the crew is beating the heat, there is no time to sort it out in the entry. We label room by room and keep an inventory, so the new place fills the way it should. If the move crosses the desert to another state, that labeled inventory rides with the same crew, so nothing gets lost on a 500-mile leg.

  • We supply every carton, dish-pack, wardrobe box, sheet of paper, roll of bubble and length of tape — you source none of it
  • Custom protection and crating for art, mirrors, electronics and stemware
  • Heat-sensitive items packed and flagged for a padded, shaded spot in transit
  • Add on unpacking at the far end and we will cart off the broken-down boxes too
  • Coverage to $1,000,000 on the shipment, $0.60/lb released value standard, full-value optional

Let us know how much of it you want off your plate. We reserve both your pack and move dates on a $100 deposit, credited straight back at the end.

What’s included

  • Trained, uniformed PT Van Lines packers boxing the whole house — or just the rooms you would rather not deal with yourself
  • We bring all of it — cartons, dish-pack kits, wardrobe boxes, packing paper, bubble, tape — so you are never making a run to the store for supplies
  • China, stemware, framed art, mirrors, TVs and electronics each get protection cut to the piece, with heat-prone items flagged for a shaded, padded spot on the truck
  • Packing labor shares the move-day crew clock: $159 an hour fields two packers, $219 fields three
  • A room-by-room labeled inventory so a multi-story unload in a Summerlin two-story or a Strip high-rise goes to the right floor the first time
  • Per-shipment coverage to $1,000,000 with the $0.60-a-pound standard release, and you can add optional unpacking plus flattened-box haul-away

How we set the price

After a quick walkthrough or video estimate, we build a single flat rate off the inventory you actually own — no hourly clock anywhere in it. What that sheet reads is the full price, with nothing tacked on later.

02 How we protect your move

We handle your things like they are ours

Pads, shrink film, and floor runners ride on every truck — ready to wrap furniture, shield tile and laminate, and cushion the fragile stuff whether the job is a Summerlin two-story, a gated Green Valley home, or a Strip high-rise condo.

Quilted pads

Every dresser, table, and headboard is pad-wrapped right where it stands before anything heads for the door.

Stretch film

Drawers stay shut and upholstery stays clean — wrapped tight against desert dust and the heat in the trailer all the way to the door.

Floor & doorway guards

Runners, rail wraps, and jamb pads go down before a single box moves, so tile, railings, and trim end the day exactly as they started.

Built-to-fit crating

Mirrors, glass tabletops, framed art, flat screens — we build each one its own crate, sized corner to corner.

Break-down & rebuild

Bed frames, dining tables, sectionals — the big pieces come apart for the haul and we reassemble them once they are inside your new place.

Straps, dollies & gear

High-rise freight elevators, tight condo corridors, and the heaviest loads each get the proper tie-downs and equipment — we cut no corners on our truck.

03 Why us

Whose name is on the truck is whose name is on your contract

Book PT Van Lines and the rig in your driveway is ours, the paperwork is ours, and the movers carrying your couch down the stairs are on our payroll — your job is never handed off. Brokers run it backwards: they sell the move to whoever bids lowest that week, then vanish.

PT Van Lines
  • Our own trucks, staffed by full-time background-checked movers — we never grab day labor off a corner
  • The number we put on paper is the number you settle — signed, locked, dollar for dollar
  • One crew from the first box loaded to the last box set down
  • Nevada (NTA) household-goods authority, USDOT/MC for interstate runs, and full insurance on every job
  • One Las Vegas office, one point of contact, from your first call through the last box
What a broker does
  • Auctions your move off to whichever outfit bids cheapest that week
  • Watches the quote balloon on move day with add-ons nobody warned you about
  • Sends strangers you have never spoken to up your stairs with everything you own
  • Keeps it vague about whose policy actually covers a dropped TV
  • Puts a call-center wall between you and whoever eventually rolls up to load

Questions we hear about this service

Could you handle only the kitchen and the fragile stuff and let me do the rest?
Of course — a partial pack is among the things people book us for most. Plenty of Valley clients box their own clothes and books and hand us the kitchen, the stemware and the artwork, which are the slow, nerve-wracking parts. The crew clock is the same either way, $159/hr for two packers or $219/hr for three, so paying only for the rooms that actually worry you keeps the bill sensible.
Is the packing done the day ahead, or the same morning we move?
For a full house we usually pack the day before, so move day starts at dawn and the truck loads clean and tight — which matters when the crew is racing the afternoon heat. A compact apartment can often be both packed and moved in a single morning. We walk you through the schedule at the quote, and if you need both days a $100 deposit puts them on hold.
Say a box gets damaged in transit — is that on you?
Any carton our own crew packed rides under the same terms as the rest of the load — the $0.60-per-pound standard release, full-value coverage if you upgrade, and shipment protection running up to $1,000,000. The one carve-out is a box you packed yourself: we cannot insure what is sealed inside against breakage, which is precisely why so many people hand us the fragile rooms in the first place.
