01 Overview

Summerlin is the polished northwest corner of the Valley, master-planned from the ground up at the foot of Red Rock Canyon, and PT Van Lines knows its villages the way only a local van line can. From the gated streets of The Ridges and The Vistas to the family neighborhoods around Downtown Summerlin and the active-adult homes of Sun City Summerlin, almost every address sits inside an HOA with its own gate code, COI requirement, and rules about when a truck can work. Dana clears all of that with your village before move day so the crew rolls straight in off Summerlin Parkway.

Moving in this corner of the Valley? Las Vegas, NV movers works these neighborhoods just about every week.

These are larger stucco-and-tile homes — two-story floor plans, three-car garages, long entry walks, and the occasional grand piano that Derek’s specialty crew wraps and hand-walks. We send the right-size team and the right-size truck, and we stage it where the curving streets near Red Rock allow rather than forcing a 26-footer into a tight cul-de-sac.

Desert heat sets our clock. Through the summer we load Summerlin jobs at dawn so the long carries are done before the afternoon turns brutal. You get one written flat rate, a hundred-dollar deposit that comes right off the final bill, and a fully licensed Nevada crew — our own movers, our own trucks, the same faces loading and unloading.

We move Summerlin

Our crews are in Summerlin week after week, so the gate codes, the HOA rules, and the building access are second nature well before the truck pulls up. What we quote is one flat rate, set down on paper — no surprise lines waiting in the fine print.

02 Why us

Whose name is on the truck is whose name is on your contract

Book PT Van Lines and the rig in your driveway is ours, the paperwork is ours, and the movers carrying your couch down the stairs are on our payroll — your job is never handed off. Brokers run it backwards: they sell the move to whoever bids lowest that week, then vanish.

PT Van Lines
  • Our own trucks, staffed by full-time background-checked movers — we never grab day labor off a corner
  • The number we put on paper is the number you settle — signed, locked, dollar for dollar
  • One crew from the first box loaded to the last box set down
  • Nevada (NTA) household-goods authority, USDOT/MC for interstate runs, and full insurance on every job
  • One Las Vegas office, one point of contact, from your first call through the last box
What a broker does
  • Auctions your move off to whichever outfit bids cheapest that week
  • Watches the quote balloon on move day with add-ons nobody warned you about
  • Sends strangers you have never spoken to up your stairs with everything you own
  • Keeps it vague about whose policy actually covers a dropped TV
  • Puts a call-center wall between you and whoever eventually rolls up to load

What Summerlin movers ask us

My village in Summerlin is gated with an HOA that requires a COI before move-in. Can PT provide that?
Yes, and it's routine work for us out here. Dana issues the certificate of insurance naming your village association or management company, lists PT Van Lines and the crew on the gate's access list, and confirms any move-window the HOA enforces. A lot of the gated Summerlin villages run on these rules, so we have them locked before the date.
Do you handle moves out toward Red Rock where the streets climb and turn?
We do. The villages up against Red Rock Canyon — The Ridges, The Vistas, Summerlin West — sit on graded, curving streets, and we scout the approach so the truck parks clean instead of blocking a cul-de-sac. Greg picks the staging spot ahead of time and the crew runs a short carry where a long driveway or a tight turn calls for it.
When's the best time of day to schedule a summer move in Summerlin?
Early. We have crews loading by daybreak through the hot months so the work is finished before the desert afternoon spikes. It keeps your movers fresh on the long carries these bigger homes tend to have, and it keeps your furniture from sitting in a hot box.

Headed into or out of this stretch of the Valley?

The gates, the HOA rules, the side streets — our local crew has them memorized. Put in for a free flat-rate estimate on paper and we will get moving.
